Seagate has launched a brand new mobile hardware which is based on the DAVE technology. The most striking feature of this hardware is that it is wireless.  Presently, the Seagate wireless hard drives are available in capacity of 10 GB and 20 GB.
Being wireless, this device can be connected through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as well as through the traditional way of USB cable too. The connectivity via Bluetooth is the most interesting feature of this device.  This feature enables connection to mobile phones, wherein, one can surf the data stored in the hard drive through the mobile phone and can also transfer data, images etc from the phone to the hard drive.  Bluetooth would enable connectivity to other devices like future cameras that will have similar feature.
Connection via Wi-Fi makes the instrument a must have for tech savvy people, as it facilitates data exchange with other devices on the same network.  It has a micro processor of its own and thus is not dependent on any other device.
The Seagate wireless hard drive is portable and is a battery powered device.  The battery life is reasonable and has not invited any negative points as yet. In fact, use of battery makes the external drive much more reliable and easy to use. The device is compact and the size is such that it can easily fit in one’s pocket.
This device has very few negative aspects as reported by the users. Appearance of this external wireless hard drive can be a negative feature and may make the guys uncomfortable as it looks like a cosmetics compact case. The second problem is that this product has no feature of being traceable. If it gets lost, one can do nothing.
As it is a revolutionary new product, thus, the cost of the product is on the high side being priced at around $ 200. Rest of the features are absolutely delightful and makes the product feature in wish list of many.
